MBO History

In 1982, a group of concerned Owatonna community members formed the Music Boosters of Owatonna in response to budget cuts that threatened the music program in the school district.

Now, the MBO continues its mission - supporting and advocating for music and music education as essential to the lifelong learning of our students and community.

Our ability to financially support the music programs in our schools and community comes from:

• generous donations from community members

• funds raised by the benefit concert held each January

• funds raised by the pancake breakfast

• memorials
